Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2017 Courage Award. SAFE and the Ravalli County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence annually present a Courage Award to recognize an individual who works to end domestic violence. Nomination letters must describe the nominee’s efforts to make our community a safe, healthy place and his or her experience or observation of domestic violence. Letters should also provide examples of the individual’s commitment to nonviolence and compassion toward others. Please include your name and phone number; the nominee’s name, address, and phone number; names of other individuals who also support the nomination; and any additional support letters, clippings, etc. Submit entries by September 15 to firstname.lastname@example.org or P.O. Box 534, Hamilton, MT 59840. The recipient of the 2017 Courage Award will be honored at the Report to Community luncheon, an annual event celebrating our community’s efforts to end domestic violence on Friday, October 27, at noon at Hamilton City Hall.
