Come to MAM for an evening with Carolyn Kastner, curator of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and author of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith: An American Modernist. Kastner is a former assistant professor of Native American art history at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and earned her Ph.D. from Stanford University. Her research, publications, and curatorial projects focus on the diversity of American modernism. In honor of Quick-to-See Smith's lifetime achievement award for printmaking by the Southern Graphics Conference, Kastner will address the artist's works on paper and the 45 prints and drawings comprising MAM's significant collection. The event is free and open to the public.
