This MOLLI course is an introduction to Korean history and culture. Students will explore over 5000 years of Korean history from the beginning of Gojoseon to the modern Korea. The instructor will discuss diverse themes relevant to understanding Korean culture including culture, food, clothing, shelter, arts, holidays music, and Hallyu (Korean Wave), utilizing various teaching materials such as PPTs, videos, pictures, and traditional Korean musical instruments. Students will understand Korean people's wisdom, philosophy, and humane affection through learning about Korean food, clothing, and shelter. Students will be able to taste some samples of traditional, authentic, and healthy Korean food.
