Event Description

Ready to learn how to fuse glass? Glass Fusing uses the process of binding and slumping glass fragments in order to create dynamic, durable pieces of artwork brimming with kaleidoscopic beauty. Bring a friend or a date to the ZACC and learn the basic techniques of fusing glass from our own glassmaster Heather. Orient yourself with all the tools and glass available to you in our studio, take in new ideas, and brainstorm with Heather and other classmates about the process of making unique works of art out of glass! This introductory class will cover all of the basics: from how the kilning process works to designing, slumping, fusing, mold-making, and glass aftercare. Once you have attended this fun course, you're welcome to come in anytime and work in our Glass Fusing Studio! This workshop will fill quickly--sign up soon and reserve your spot!
