Front man Anthony "Tone" Catalano and drummer Celeste "C.C." Spina found each other on Craigslist and formed the "dirty blues" band Little Hurricane. Within a year they’ve found a home at major festivals and on nationwide tours.

of Grandma's house, backed
by a willow tree, gladiola and roses.

Who did she ever want
to please? But Grandma
seems half-pleased and annoyed.

No doubt Mother frowns
behind the lens, wants
to straighten this sassy face.

Maybe laughs, too.
Little girl with her mouth wide,
tongue out, yelling

white purse full of treasure,
her white sandals?

6/7/14: This week on "The Plant Detective:" For thousands of years, people in India, China, and Indonesia have used gotu kola to heal wounds, improve mental clarity, and treat skin conditions such as leprosy and psoriasis. Today, in the U.S. and Europe, gotu kola in ointment helps heal minor wounds and taken in other forms, it treats varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. The Chinese use it to reduce stress.
