Saturday May, 2 the Helena Symphony will present Beethoven's Ninth as part of their 60th anniversary celebration.

MTPR's Michael Marsolek spoke with Allan R. Scott, the Helena Symphony's music director about the upcoming concert and celebration.

Pianist Stephen Beus will serve as the guest artist for the Celebrate Piano Series at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12, in the Music Recital Hall at the University of Montana. The recital is the featured event of his four-day residency for the UM Spring Piano Festival, and his program will feature exciting works by Bach, Liszt and contemporary composers Ronn Yedidia and Arvo Pärt. The Spring Piano Festival is sponsored by the UM Keyboard Society.

Michael Marsolek talks with Anne Basinski, director of The University of Montana's Opera Theater, about the April 2015 production of Mozart's "Idomeneo," sung in Italian.

The Helena Symphony continues its 60th season with a concert titled "The Sacred & The Seductive". The concert takes place  Saturday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Helena Civic Center.
