4 Homes confirmed lost in the Lolo Creek Complex

Sally Mauk

Four homes are confirmed to have been lost in the 5000 acre Lolo Creek Complex fire. A Type One Incident Command Team will take over management of the still growing fire later today.

Fire information officer Crystal Beckman says heavy smoke inversion is hindering any air attack this morning. Firefighters conducted a burnout along Elk Meadow road last night.

Highway 12 remains closed to all but area residents. Beckman says fire activity and downed power lines and trees will keep the road closed for now.
