Anne Gauer of Billings found out on Facebook today that the film "Nebraska" has been nominated for best picture of the year - and for five other Oscars, including best director and best actor.
Gauer has reason to be excited - the co-owner of Spotlight Productions was the assistant location manager for the film, which shot its early scenes in Billings and Laurel. The film stars Bruce Dern and Will Forte, and is directed by Alexander Payne.
In this feature interview, Gauer talks with News Director Sally Mauk about her experience working on the film, and about how her degree in radio-television from the University of Montana prepared her for a career in television and film production.
