Big Sky Documentary Film Festival premiere film showcases plight of women on the economic edge

HBO

The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival kicks off tomorrow in Missoula and its opening night film - Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert - will be screened at the Wilma Theater and is free and open to the public.

Paycheck to Paycheck follows a year in the life of Katrina Gilbert, a 30-year-old woman earning just above minimum wage while raising 3 children as a single mom.
In tonight's feature interview, filmmakers Nick Doob and Shari Cookson discuss their project with News Director Sally Mauk. Cookson says Maria Shriver served as executive producer of Paycheck to Paycheck, which is also a component of the multi-platform project, called "The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink".
