On this episode of "Can Do: Lessons from Savvy Montana Entrepreneurs:" Sweet Peaks Ice Cream co-founder Marissa Keenan explains how she and her husband Sam transformed an after-work hobby into a successful business.

“We got into it, at the end of the day, because we wanted to live in Montana and we wanted to pursue the entrepreneurial life. And we also really liked ice cream,” says Keenan.

After starting out in 2010 with a small storefront in Whitefish, Montana, the couple now owns and oversees six full-time and two seasonal shops in Montana, Idaho and Washington.

Sweet Peaks’s mission is “Ice Cream, Community, and You,” and Marissa and Sam use local ingredients to craft flavors like Avocado Toast, Maple Bacon, and Butter Biscuit with Strawberry Jam.
