A proposal to claw back funds for public media has already passed the House of Representatives. Montana Public Radio and stations across the country receive critical federal funds to strengthen our work. The Senate could vote on the proposal in the coming days. Collaboration and sustainablity as a revenue stream

Solutions from the Land

"Solutions from the Land Dialogue" Project Coordinator, Ernie Shea, says land managers are increasingly exploring the potential of using their lands in a more sustainable way.
In doing so, Shea says they open up new potential revenue streams. As he puts it, these sustainably-minded producers suddenly find themselves the the "quality of life business".

Solutions from the Land Dialogue is an organization promoting sustainable land management and natural resource enhancement through collaboration.
The group is in western Montana this week studying the many successes in the Clark Fork Basin.
In this evening's feature interview with Edward O'Brien, Ernie Shea, explains the new opportunities opening up to land managers and the new emphasis on collaboration:

Edward O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the UM School of Journalism. He covers a wide range of stories from around the state.
