Libertarian Ted Dunlap is among those challenging Democratic incumbent Steve Bullock in the race for governor this year. After spending most of his life in California, Dunlap moved to Connor, MT in 2013. Dunlap recently spoke about his decision to run for governor with Montana Public Radio's Capitol Reporter Corin Cates-Carney.

Corin Cates-Carney was the Montana Public Radio news director from early 2020 to mid 2025 after spending more than five years living and reporting across Western and Central Montana.
