The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office has downgraded the evacuation orders for residents in Seeley Lake near the Rice Ridge Fire.

According to a post made by the sheriff’s office Sunday morning, effective at 8 a.m. the evacuation orders for zones 2 and 3 have been reduced to evacuation warnings.

This puts almost all Seeley Lake residents back in their homes, according to the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office. Six homes in Zone 5 remain under evacuation order.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's lifted the evacuation orders near the Caribou Fire for the entire West Kootenai area Sunday at 10am.

A pre-evacuaiton warning remains in effect for the entire West Kootenai area.
