Farmers Market a Saturday tradition in Missoula
Every Saturday from May through October, part of downtown Missoula is transformed into an open-air farmer's market reminiscent of those found in Europe.
Families and friends, fueled by coffee and pastries, gather at "the best place to take out-of-towners", according to the voters of the Missoula Independent's annual "Best of Missoula" survey. The Missoula Farmer's Market began in 1972 and continues to be a staple for purchasing the best of what the Missoula area has to grow. Reporter Justin Steck recently visited with vendors and shoppers about what makes this market special.
