'Law School' For Legislators, Rules Committee Meetings On Tuesday's Agenda

The 2015 Montana legislature continues at 8 a.m. Tuesday and the legislators are getting down to business. Law school for the new legislators is the first item on the agenda, while later on there will be meetings on the rules of the House and Senate.

These are mainly to help the new legislators, many of whom have very little experience with bill proposals and the legislative process of passing those bills.

Legislators will also tackle what’s called the “feed bill” on Tuesday. This is the legislation that sets aside money to pay for the this legislative session and the beginning of the next session in 2017.

The bill proposes to use $10,433,810 from the state’s general fund to pay for the 64th and the preparation of the 65th sessions.

In 2013, the Legislature passed the feed bill for $9,231,303.
