A proposal to claw back funds for public media has already passed the House of Representatives. Montana Public Radio and stations across the country receive critical federal funds to strengthen our work. The Senate could vote on the proposal in the coming days. Modern trumpet players

newsroom.unl.edu

Tonight at a special time, 9-10pm, following special programming. We'll hear recordings featuring some of my favorite trumpet players, particularly focusing on albums from the last decade. We'll hear cuts from modern greats like Terence Blanchard, Roy Hargove, Tom Harrell, Terrell Stafford, Jim Rotondi,

Jeremy Pelt and Brian Lynch. That's Tonight on What I Like About Jazz.

John Arvish is a public school teacher, as well as host and producer of What I Like About Jazz, Muse's Jukebox, and Blues on the Move. He lives with his wife Carrie, their dog Sunny and cat Pokey and a smorgasbord of good music, theater, art and food.
