On this edition of Montana Morning Newscast, the American Civil Liberties Union of Montana says the state's county jail system is unsafe and badly in need of reform while the snow pack levels have dropped across much of Montana.

Lawmakers are considering whether to ban Montana drivers from using cell phones and the Montana House yesterday overwhelmingly killed a bill after it was approved in committee. Yesterday at the Montana Capitol, legislators heard about privacy.

Four Radio Shack locations in Montana are included on the company's list of nearly 1,800 stores it expects to close by the end of March and District Judge Dirk Sandefur of Great Falls has announced plans to run for the Montana Supreme Court in 2016.

Montana lawmakers are considering adding state aid to a school achievement program currently funded by the federal government. Two opposing bills on physician-assisted suicide will be heard today at the Montana Legislature.
