The Park County Sheriff’s Office has given several residents a warning of possible evacuation due to a small fire burning near O’Rea Creek and Fleshman Creek northwest of Livingston.

Park County Director of Emergency Management Greg Coleman says the fire was first reported shortly after 2pm Saturday afternoon. The size of the fire is still unknown.

Residences near the fire were given an evacuation order soon after the fire was discovered, but the Park County Sheriff’s Office quickly downgraded that to just a warning.

The fire is currently being attacked by two helicopters, a fixed wing plane and city and county fire crews.
