Montana Public Radio and stations across the country receive critical federal funds to strengthen our work. The Senate could vote on the proposal in the coming days. Report says Montana should do more to promote early education

University of Montana

A new report produced by the Annie E. Casey Foundation concludes Americans should do more to promote early childhood education.
The Kids Count policy report titled, "The First Eight Years: Giving Kids a Foundation",  points out a child's early years are critically important.

In this interview with Edward O'Brien, Montana Kids Count director, Thale Dillon, says the information a child absorbs during his or her first 8 years of life could have lifelong implications.

Edward O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the UM School of Journalism. He covers a wide range of stories from around the state.
