August 11, 2015 - 11:00 a.m.
Here is an update from the National Weather Service.

West-central Montana - The Bitterroot and Missoula Valleys will be under the gun again today.  Thunderstorms will begin to move into the Bitterroot and Missoula valleys from Idaho by 5:00-6:00 p.m. this evening.  Locations along I-90 and areas north near Helmville and Ovando by 8:00 p.m. Any of these locations mentioned above will have the potential to see strong gusty winds greater than 45 MPH and frequent lightning.  The storms could cause tree damage, blowing dust reducing visibility, cross-wind for high profile vehicles and new fire starts.

The city of Missoula is assisting with storm-damaged tree removal after Monday's storm. See the Missoula's tree removal information here.

Imagine Missoula, a local volunteer organization, is available to assist elderly citizens or those with limited mobility with tree debris removal. Please phone 546-4697 or more information.
