TEDxUMontana 2015

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created TEDx, local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

This year, we focus on the theme of language, exploring the diverse fields of human endeavor. Language shapes our conscious thought and creative expression; it is a declaration of identity and is unique to professional discourse. It can be lost, invented or revitalized. It is a flexible medium that adapts and changes through use. This TEDxUMontana will examine our interactions with language from various aspects including programming language, preservation of native language and language as the stimulus for scientific and artistic advancement.

This year's speakers are Leora Bar-el, Darko Butorac, April Charlo, Catherine Coutenaye, Kate Davis, John Engen, Tarun Gupta, Susan Joy Hassol, Erin Johnson, Lizzi Juda and Lulu Delphine, Matthew Marsolek, Amy Martin, Sheryl Noethe, Clay Scott, Andy Smetanka, Clint Walker, and Paulo Zagalo-Melo.

Tickets and more information at the TEDxUMontana website.
