Urban American Outdoor Television turns cameras on Forest Service

Urban American Outdoors

An award-winning television episode takes a look at the U-S Forest Service in Western Montana. The program is produced by the Kansas City-based Urban American Outdoors.
Urban American Outdoor Television is owned and hosted by Wayne and Candy Hubbard and promotes an outdoors lifestyle to urban America. Wayne Hubbard describes it as the only reality, sports/adventure program that presents a multicultural experience.

He says a large segment of his audience is often overlooked by many other outdoor sporting shows; African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and women.
Urban American Outdoors' recent program was the Bronze winner in the 34th annual Telly Awards Film and TV category and has been submitted for Emmy consideration.
Its title asks a very simple question; "What is the Forest Service?".

Edward O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the UM School of Journalism. He covers a wide range of stories from around the state.
