This week on "What I Like About Jazz", Director of Jazz Studies Rob Tapper sits in again. This time, for a tribute to drummer Jeff Hamilton, whose trio plays at The University of Montana on February 6.
Jeff Hamilton has made a career for four decades as both accompanist and leader of a classic trio, as well as co-leader of the Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra.
Tune in for a retrospective of his career, including stints with Ray Brown, Gene Harris, the L.A. Four, and beside singers Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Rene Olstead, Michael Bublé and Nina Simone.
"What I Like About Jazz", Wednesday, January 27, from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.
