7/1/14: This week on "The Folk Show:" The first Tuesday of each month, from 2:06-3:05pm, the first hour of "The Folk Show" is Stan Howe's monthly program, featuring everything from up-and-coming Montana fiddlers to scratchy old 45rpm records, new releases to the occasional wax cylinder.

For July, Stan celebrates the start of his twentieth year on "The Folk Show," and he's celebrating with a musical road trip: "One More Ride," "Route 66," "Don't This Road Look Rough and Rocky," and the classic, "I've Been Everywhere."

Expect songs about riding, pining, Rockies and springtime, loose change and sparing a dime, as well as stories about Stan's recent adventures in recording. For February, Stan unbuckles a saddlebag full of Valentine's Day songs by Flatt & Scruggs, Carl Smith, Ray Price, Jim & Jessie, Trio, Stephanie Davis...and a staple of Stan's show for about the last fifteen Februaries: advice by Yorgi Yorgeson.

Tuesday, January 7th, 2014: The first Tuesday of each month, the first hour of "The Folk Show" features Stan Howe's program, from 2:06-3:05pm. For January, Stan presents his favorites of 2013: Texas-style fiddlers from Montana, Idaho (and even Texas); classic and modern cowboy and Western Swing songs; a star-studded Nashville picking band; and Vince Gill's take on the Bakersfield sound.
