Carrie Krause and John Lenti are part of the I-90 Collective quartet.  They'll play St. Timothy's Summer Music Festival August 20 at 4 p.m. Krause and Lenti joined MTPR's Michael Marsolek to preview their upcoming performance, and talk about what drew them to baroque music.

The UM Chamber Chorale is a select choir whose members are chosen by audition at the beginning of each school year. As the premier choral ensemble, the Chamber Chorale regularly tours across the state and region. On March 1, they joined us for a special performance broadcast live on Montana Public Radio.

"If you've ever heard a piano quartet performed, chances are the piece was either composed or arranged by these guys," says Christopher Hahn of the UM School of Music. "Two pianos, eight hands, the sound is truly symphonic. Nobody does it better."

The American Piano Quartet will be featured at the Celebrate Piano series from the UM School of Music on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Dennison Theater in Missoula. They'll perform at 7:30 p.m. They stopped by Montana Public Radio to give a taste of what they have planned.

If you went to college in Missoula any time in the last 25 years, you probably closed down the Union Club dancing to Russ Nasset and the Revelators at least once. Russ joined us for a fantastic live session Tuesday on "Get To That." Here's a taste:

The Missoula Piano Trio, finalists in the MTNA National Young Artist String Chamber Music Competition, performed live from MTPR studios Friday, March 25.  The trio is made up of Sara Harmsworth on violin, David Harmsworth on cello, and Adam Sears on piano. You can listen to the entire studio session now, or watch the video of their performance of Shostackovich's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 8.
