During the holiday season of 2011/12 it was almost impossible to avoid the three chord singalong, Lonely Boy, the first track on The Black Keys’ seventh album, El Camino.  For bandmates, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney it marked distinct commercial success, as the song reached 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the album being certified a platinum record.

Returning to western Montana, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis play the Adams Center at the University of Montana on Thursday, Oct. 24.  Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, and are available at all GrizTix locations, by calling 1-888-MONTANA or online at griztix.com.

Winner of the of the Americana Music Association's "Artist of the Year" award in 2007, Patty Griffin is touring in support of her seventh album, American Kid.  A collection of songs focused on her late father, this album marks a powerful return to her own writing.   At turns romantic and at others uplifting, Patty gives voice to the joys and challenges of middle age.

Boisterous ska-jazz-funk band, The Cat Empire, have released their infectious, cheeky and fun sixth album.   The first single, Brighter Than Gold, is a great way to get a party started:
