Whitefish-native Maggie Voisin is competing at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea on Friday night, in the women’s slopestyle skiing event.

At a bar in Whitefish, locals are sure to turn out tonight to cheer on nineteen-year-old Voisin. She spoke with NBC Sports in January after clinching her spot on Team USA.

As the Olympic Games kick off today in Pyeongchang, South Korea, a three-time Olympic downhill skier who now lives in Whitefish shares her race memories and lessons learned.

2/10/2014 - The Olympics are perhaps the crown jewels of sports. The pomp and circumstance, the pageantry and international competition make the games special. They began over 2,700 years ago in Olympia, Greece. They were held in honor of Zeus, king of the gods. Today, the gods are fame, fortune, and national pride.
