Thank You & Fundraising Update

Apr 25, 2016

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, or gave a premium gift during MTPR's spring pledge week! Your support makes public radio possible. Early counts show you donated $635,430 toward our spring fundraising goal of $750,000. Thanks again to all of the MTPR family.

Team Cat walked away with a victory in ‪‎Pet Wars‬ this year, beating their closest competitors by a whisker. Better luck next year, dogs.

Montana Public Radio's pledge week is halfway through, and there's still a long way to go to meet the $750,000 spring fundraising goal. "This pledge drive is not on pace to get us to where we need to be by the end of the week," says MTPR Director Linda Talbott in an important message to listeners.

Together, We Make Public Radio Possible

Apr 16, 2016

Montana Public Radio is proud to be listener supported. Great things happen when thousands of Montanans stand together to invest in community. If you believe in the power of independent, non-profit public media, donate now and join the movement during our spring pledge. Together, we:

We just received this dispatch from the Society of North American Cats & Kittens. It can mean only one thing: Pet Wars is coming. Keep your radio on, your lint-brush handy, and your shoelaces off the ground, because these cats are on the prowl.

Have a great picture of your pet to share? Send it to petwars@mtpr.org!

Montana Public Radio finished our 50th anniversary year with an amazing rally in listener support, reaching $1.54 million. We also had three sold-out performances (Ira Glass, Bill Harley and Garrison Keillor), and held our first short fiction contest. It has been exciting to see all the ways that our shared love for Montana Public Radio has manifested. I can’t say often enough that financial support from deeply committed listeners like you is what makes MTPR succeed.

Thank You

I tell anyone who asks that I have the best job on the planet. I not only have the privilege of steering Montana Public Radio into its 51st year, I also have the partnership of thousands of deeply engaged listeners - helping, donating, and rooting for our station’s success.

In addition to the warm & fuzzy feeling you get for supporting local public radio, there are also some great gifts available to donors. The MTPR premium crew is here to tell you about a three of them.

MTPR At A Crossroads: A Message From William Marcus

Apr 8, 2015

Friends and Supporters:

Montana Public Radio is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. We’re also celebrating the listeners and contributors who have been our partners in building and sustaining this uniquely local public radio station. We’ve come a long way together since our early days as a tiny 10-watt station on the University of Montana campus. We are forever grateful for the community’s loyalty and support.

But amidst the celebrations, MTPR also finds itself at a crossroads.

Jennifer Cripe

PET WARS 2014 was a valiant battle but the dogs came out on top. Thank you to everyone who pledged in honor of their beloved pets.

If you missed the drive it's not too late to support MTPR. You can still make a pledge here.

See our event page on Facebook for details and fun photos. You can also follow us on Twitter; we're @mtpublicradio. Look for hashtags #petwars, #teamdog, #teamcat, and #mtprpledge.
