It's Women's History Month, and as we reported earlier, part of the observance at the University of Montana, was a talk this week on the historical role of women in the U.S. Indian Service. University of New Mexico historian Cathleen CahillĀ  is the author of the book "Federal Fathers and Mothers: A Social History of the United States Indian Service, 1869-1933."
